So I thought I would do a fun little update on how the Montana Made Wedding Fair 2018 went for me!  The Fair was held on November 4th at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds and I am still recovering from all the hard work! :D

First off, being a member of the Bitterroot Wedding Association is wonderful, they advertise my business on their wedding resources page, while also offering fun mixers throughout the year so I can get to know other wedding vendors in the Valley.

Autumn and the rest of the team did a wonderful job setting up the fair to ensure it ran smoothly and looked beautiful.  Set up was easy and not stressful at all!  I was given plenty of time to get my booth set up for the fair, and go out to dinner with my family afterwords.  No all nighters here because of the time that was available to set up.

I got married about 5 years ago and I planned my wedding from out of state, so I never really attended any Bride-To-Be events, so it was really fun to experience this and just be excited for all the couples that are planning their weddings.  Its so much fun to get all your loved ones together to celebrate love, and just to have a good time.

I met quite a few brides looking for photographers, but I also met couples that had already locked their photographer down!  Very proactive.  But we do book up for the season quickly.  (ps. I have a few openings for 2019 so if you are thinking about booking, do it now, before I book up!)

It was a wonderful weekend meeting couples and other vendors and I look forward to being involved next year.

I have known Austen and Jackie for a long time now and could not think of a more perfect couple!  Jackie is adventurous, honest and compassionate, while Austen is active, always happy, and just about the friendliest person you will meet.  Their wedding story fits them just so well, Austen asked Jackie, whom he barely knew, to accompany him on a road trip many years ago, and well as they say, the rest is history!

I was approached by my friend Lauren L. Photography to capture this wedding with her.  She had been talking with Jackie and unfortunately, Jackie was having a hard time finding a wedding photographer that she really wanted to invest in and Lauren had the great idea for us to both capture their wedding.  I definitely wanted to be a part of capturing this incredible day for my two dear friends.

The wedding and reception was held at the beautiful Rainbow Ranch Lodge at Big Sky. The day started wet and muddy, with more thunder storms in the forecast.  We spent some time waiting out the rain in our cars between photos, but just in time for the ceremony the sun came out and the sky turned blue.  We couldn't have planned a more perfect day.

Among my favorite photos are the ones with Jackie, Austen and their crew of pups, which are such a special part of their family.
